Listen to this! (Loveland, CO. Reporter Herald-GO Magazine 1/18/08)

Michael Stone's debut album reveals a passion for songwriting and
songcraft that only hints at his many influences.

Stone's solid guitar work filters through blues, progressive rock and
jazz, with a hint of soul tossed about for good measure.

With a gritty edge, Stone's voice provides a powerful accompaniment
to the playing, which includes nice rollicking piano moments, and rich
harmonies.

It's a fine introduction to his work -- Glenn BurnSilver.
---------------------------------
.
.channels Billy Joel a bit, but not enough to be a detriment. He's got a
sound all his own, and it suits the material. He makes great use of it
throughout the song.

The lyrics are nicely done, obviously by someone with something to say
as opposed to the "have to write some lyrics for this jazz song" school
of writing. The "blue eyed friend" idea keeps it from tipping into
shoegaze territory by giving the words a friendly feel, along with the
jazzy arrangement and instrumentation.

TODAY:
Interesting writing style
This song has an old school "Hotel California" kind of feel. The
combination of piano, acoustic guitar and varying percussion elements
really make for an interesting arrangement.

The vocalist has a good grasp on technique and portrays a passion for
his story. His "bluesy" style of raspiness and tone make his words
heartfelt and genuine.
The lead guitar solo was crisp and intricate to the point where it
meshed nicely with the rest of the arrangement

it has soul..
i really like the vocals, they are quite magical and alluring,  and i like the
way it turned out...an abstract sounding band with strong vocal
emotion...the melody is captivating, really like it!...i love the song...
thoughtful guitar playing as well :)
--------------------------
Good performance
The singer reminds me of Ian Anderson
(singer of Jethro Tull). In fact,
the whole composition reminds me of Jethro Tull, but with a more
modern approach. Love the phased guitar that comes in at the
beginning, very thick.
Obviously experienced performers and songwriters.
--------------------------
This music belongs in a classy environment. I want to sip a martini and
pass on the beers when I hear this song!

It has a Ray Charles vibe the way it gets carried away. Some Louisiana
Blues for ya'.
---------------------------
Unexpected, piano-led intro works very well and is professionally
played and is soon accompanied by some great bluesy lead guitar
work and a very strong lead voice.
The vocals work brilliantly with the
track
, as does the multi-instrumentation; the track is very well
produced. This shows a lot of potential, well done! You're probably
already signed to be honest, with production like that...
